Impact of religion on medicine in Nigeria

When watching the news Nigeria's religious radical groups seem to be the main reason that the country makes the international news headlines.

I wanted to know if in your medical practice has religion ever influenced your prescribed treatment of patients or affected any other aspect of your profession? Has your practice ever been threatened by terrorism? Has your safety ever been compromised? Or is the international press sensationalising Nigerian news?

In Nigerian culture do you utilize different approaches to different religious sects, or does it not impact you as a doctor at all?

Was just curious
